みちとゆくえ｜うつろいのしかた

成安造形大学が主催する企画展「ARTS ATTENTION」シリーズ。
今回の企画は、人や場所をつなぐ「みち」に見られる多様な感性や経験についてを再考し、「みち」を流動的なプラットフォームと捉え、移動や回路、交流の在り方について考察する展覧会です。
メインビジュアルは、光のタイポグラフィで“みち”をつくりました。
出来得る限り生（RAW）の状態で“みち”になっていくよう意識して、モニター上で発光する文字を直接カメラで撮影。シャッターを開いた状態で手ブレのままにカメラを動かし露光させています。文字はアニメーションで不規則さをつけて、写真はレンズフィルターで取り込む光源に変化を加え、撮影によって生じる高感度ノイズや露光量の明暗をそのまま残すことで、コンピューターグラフィックスにはない生っぽさをつくっています。
出展作家や来場者それぞれの「みち」があるように、広報物からグッズに至るまで全て違うビジュアルをつくりました。回廊型の展覧会ですので、みちを歩いて散らばったそれらを集めてみてください。
Michi: A Road, Way, and Transition in the Future

This project was created for SEIAN ARTS ATTENTION, a series of curated exhibitions organized by Seian University of Art and Design.
This edition reconsidered the diverse sensibilities and experiences found in “michi” — roads, paths, and ways — that connect people and places. It approached “michi” as a fluid platform, exploring forms of movement, circulation, and exchange.
For the main visual, I created a “michi” through typography made of light.
To make the image become a “michi” in as raw a state as possible, I directly photographed illuminated letters displayed on a monitor. With the shutter left open, I moved the camera by hand, allowing the image to be exposed through camera shake.
The letters were animated to introduce irregularity, while lens filters altered the way the light was captured. I kept the high-ISO noise and variations in exposure created through the photographic process, producing a raw physicality that could not be achieved through computer graphics alone.
Just as each exhibiting artist and each visitor has their own “michi,” I created a different visual for every item, from publicity materials to merchandise. As the exhibition was structured around a corridor-like route, visitors were invited to walk through the “michi” and collect the scattered visuals along the way.
